Bretagne International is one of the proud sponsors of Anne Quéméré, a Breton sailor who will kite the Pacific Ocean solo, from San Francisco to Tahiti.

November 4 : Anne’s left !

Yesterday a North by Northwest wind of 20 to 25 knots was forecasted for the departure area and should hold steady for the following three days. Strong enough to enable Anne to raise her wing and start her challenge.

Her voyage in the 5.5m purpose-built Oceankite will take her from San Francisco to Tahiti, through tricky weather regions including the dreaded Doldrums. Her arrival in Tahiti will be dependent on wind speeds and ocean currents. It is expected for January. When exactly ? Only the wind knows !!!
